CDO
MEAT LOAF CRUSTED TOFU
Ingredients:
3 cans CDO MEAT LOAF 100g,
cut into thick wedges
2 pcs tofu, sliced into thick wedges
Egg whites, beaten
½ cup cornstarch
2 tsp spring onions, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
Oil for frying
For the sauce:
¼ cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp ginger juice
2 tbsp cornstarch, dispersed in
½ cup water
For the garnish:
Cucumber
Carrot curls
Procedure:
Combine egg whites, cornstarch and spring onions. Mix well and season with salt and pepper. Deep each CDO Meat Loaf and tofu into the cornstarch mixture. Fry just to cook the batter. Drain in paper towels. Set aside.
To make the sauce,
in a pan simmer all the ingredients until it thickens.
Adjust seasoning.
To serve, make alternate layers of meat loaf and tofu on a serving dish.
Drizzle with sauce on top.
Garnish on sides with vegetables. |
